Miner Wars

Miner Wars is an action-survival space-shooter simulation game that combines mining and tunneling with space combat for an exciting gaming experience. Set in the year 2081 – 10 years after the destruction of all planetary objects in the solar system – you are introduced to a wide variety of missions, including rescue, exploration, revenge, base defense, theft, transportation, stealth, search and destroy, pure harvesting, and even racing. As you can see, there is something for almost everyone.

When you begin the game, you start in the cockpit of a mining ship that is making its way across the inner solar system. The game is set in an open-world and fully destructible environment, which lends itself to a lot of fun destruction sequences. Although there are a large number of missions, realism and survival are key aspects to gameplay. You have to constantly monitor your inventory, as well as things like fuel, ammunition, oxygen levels, ore, and even your weapons supplies.

Miner Wars offers both single player and multiplayer game modes. Both are extremely fun and very action-packed. One great thing with this game, however, is that even in multiplayer mode you can complete the whole campaign. So you can live the entire Miner Wars storyline not just by yourself, but with your friends as well. Actual gameplay is simple, in which you use the keyboard and mouse controls, as well as a number of additional buttons for things like headlights and mining tools.

Using the mining capabilities of your ship is a lot of fun, since everything in the environment is fully destructible. When you approach an asteroid, you can simply tunnel into it or fire tons of missiles at it in order to break it into tiny pieces. The detailed graphics of Miner Wars are quite convincing both at a distance and up close.

If you enjoy space simulation games, you should definitely check out Miner Wars. It has promise to be very enjoyable.
