Take on the role of your favorite Dragon Ball Z character in this latest fighting adventure. Each character has his/her own abilities to master. On top of choosing between Mr. Boo and Recoom (and 25 other potential characters), players can also decide what backdrop to use for their fights, and whether to play against a friend or a computer.
The game offers several modes: arcade, versus, team versus, team arcade, team co-op, training, and watch. In arcade modes, players go up against either one or a team of computers. The versus modes then offer the chance to go up against one or a team of friends. The co-op mode allows players to team up and take on AI players again. Finally, the training mode and watch modes give players a chance to better their game by training themselves or watching other AIs play.
One can also customize the level of difficulty on a scale of one to eight; one being easy and eight being hard. This difficulty can be enhanced by altering the level of life the player has, the speed of the game, or even just changing how long the match will go on for.
In terms of gameplay, players end up fighting their opponents using kicks, hits, or jumps. It’s simple but fun, and gives players a chance to jump in to play their favorite Dragon Ball Z characters. Where else can one experience the thrill of jumping as Kuririn, or finding out who would win between Chibi Trunks and Androide 18? The game has been typically positively received, and has delighted fans of all ages.
