There are many Pacman clones out there, but none so good as Pacman EX3! Featuring the classic gameplay alongside nice pseudo-3D graphics, an online high scoreboard, and a variety of maps, this game definitely keeps you engaged.
There is nothing surprising and newfangled about Pacman EX3. You control it by using the cursor keys, and you need to eat all the dots in each level all while avoiding the ghosts. You can gain extra points by eating the fruit that appear in the center, and even the ghosts are edible when you eat one of the four pills that are available on every level. This classic game is definitely as fun as it ever was, and the difficulty level increases as you progress, especially since the speed increases as well.
Pacman EX is played in a window which allows you to make it nice and small so you can play while other programs are running. But due to this window size, there is some necessity for scrolling. This is fine, unless you want to go through the loop path from one side to another, then it gets a bit tricky. Because one side is out of view, you can’t tell whether or not you will bump into a ghost. This is only a minor flaw, however, and doesn’t effect the gameplay as a whole or the enjoyment of the average user.
There’s not much else to say about Pacman, since everyone already is familiar with the hungry yellow mouth. But if you like Pacman, you are going to love Pacman EX3!
